Position Focuses on Continued Agency Quality
As state regulations become more complex and focus continues to grow on outcomes-based results for clients, CONCERN established the Quality Assurance Administrator position in summer 2008 and hired Ginny Ysa to initiate the position. Ginny holds advanced degrees in both engineering and social work, which allow her to understand not only the data side of the position but the human component of the agency. Since joining CONCERN, Ginny has accomplished several of her initial goals.
Her first project was to streamline information tracking processes by developing data management systems. The Foster Parent Clearance Tracking databases makes it easier for sites to focus on this important compliance piece. She also worked with staff to develop an integrated database system to track referrals, track discharges and disruptions and to fill out Admission/Transfer/Release (ATR) forms. By having these forms integrated into one database, staff no longer have to enter the same information two or three times into separate forms. Information entered at referral time automatically transfers to ATR forms and Discharge and Disruption forms, saving staff time and paper. These databases also make it easier to run reports, for staff to do their jobs, and for CONCERN to make better informed business decisions.
While Ginny has made significant progress, she hopes she can continue to make significant strides in enhancing the quality of CONCERN’s services to clients.
